Bad Life are excited to announce the debut release from Stray Harmonix, the new project from Jagz Kooner and Gary Burns.

Renowned record producer Jagz Kooner & multi-Instrumentalist Gary Burns, alongside Andrew Weatherall, were the founding members of the seminal group Sabres of Paradise (Warp).

Since then Jagz has had an illustrious career producing and remixing huge acts like Primal Scream, Kasabian, Oasis, plus an array of others from right across the musical spectrum such as Royal Trux, Massive Attack and Soulwax .

Having been reunited at the passing of Andrew Weatherall in early 2020, they agreed to rekindle their production sound and Stray Harmonix was born.
‘Mountain of One’ is the result of their first studio session together in 23 years and is dedicated to the genius and stature of the late & great Andrew Weatherall.

‘Mountain of One’, explores subtle filmic textures, with gentle piano and the slow pulse of synths. Managing to feel both spacious and intimate at the same time and provides a taster of their first full ep due early next year on Bad Life.

The track also features on the new Bad Life ambient & electronica compilation series ‘Machine Nature’, released digitally on December 4th.
